Someone who is accustomed to bring laurels to the campus has done it yet again. Harnoor Singh, a seasoned Toastmaster, engineering student and an orator in the making, is pursuing Computer Science engineering from Chitakara University, Himachal Pradesh.

He represented the campus in Slam Poetry contest conducted in the tricity for the first time and held at PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh.

Simply put, slam poetry is the competitive art of performance poetry. It puts a dual emphasis on writing and performance, encouraging poets to focus on what they are saying and how they are saying it. In competition, the poets are judged on the basis of numerical scores (on a zero to 10 or one to 10 scale) based on the poets’ content and performance.

Harnoor was applauded for his efforts and the way he regaled the audience that watched him with rapt attention.
Winning has become a way with him and here too he won the competition and proved yet again that irrespective of the trade one is into, experimenting with the finer nuances in life has its own merits.
The entire Chitkara fraternity congratulates him for this feat and this is only the beginning for this great talent.
