Master of Engineering (ME) – Microelectronic Systems

About the Program

The 3-year modular program of Chitkara University will result in M.E (Master of Engineering) in Microelectronics. The program will be conducted in 3 academic years consisting of 6 modules that will include specified courses and thesis work.
This program will be industry oriented and practice based. Activities in the program will focus on producing skilled engineers through class room sessions, practical sessions and research/project oriented activities.

Objective

The objective of ME (Microelectronics) Modular Program is to set solid foundation of the fundamental scientific principles involved in the operation, design, and fabrication of integrated circuits. The program will help to acquire broad understanding of relevant technologies such as Mixed signal circuit design and RF Microelectronics. The students will be able to apply the engineering principles to the design and development of current and future semiconductor technologies. This program is aimed at providing the manpower required to meet the current industry needs, to pursue research in specialized areas and to meet the growing needs of trained faculty in this field.

Course Scheme

The program covers but not limited to below specified courses:

  • Mixed Signal Circuit Design
  • RF Circuit Design
  • Analog IC Design
  • Hardware Software Co Design
  • Rapid Prototyping using FPGA
  • Sensor Technology and MEMS
  • Semiconductor Material and Devices
  • Smart Antennas

Duration

The minimum duration of the program is 3 years which can be extended depending on dissertation work.
