Hackathon
For all you coders there, Chitkara University is organizing Hackathon during Techlone’19. We aim to provide a platform for the budding developers to design and develop technological solutions ranging from mobile apps to web or software based models for a given set of problems. All participants will be provided on the spot project based problems. Participating teams may use any preferred programming language to code. Teams will have full access to their books and internet.
Rules- Team may consist of maximum two members and participants must carry their university ID card during the event.
- Please do not discuss strategy, suggestions or tips in the comments during a live contest. Posting questions clarifying the problem statement is ok.
- Almost all languages and technologies are allowed and acceptable.
- The total time is the sum of the time consumed for each problem solved.
- Shortlisted teams after submission of code have to pitch their submission to the organizers.
- Any participant found to be indulging in any form of malpractice will be immediately disqualified.
- Teams may bring their own books, no books will be provided by the organizers of the event.
- Each member of the team must register individually on the online registration portal and pay the fee.
- Upon completing individual registration, approach the event coordinator and submit your team details.

PC Garage
Registered Teams will be provided with motherboard and other necessary components on the spot. Teams will be required to assemble the components and connect them using data and bus cables as required in a working PC. Team completing the task in least time will be declared as winner.
Rules- Hardware to be assembled will be provided on the spot.
- Use of mobile phone or any other electronic devices is prohibited during the event.
- Any malfunctioning in the assembled parts will lead to disqualification of the team.
- Teams can't make any change in the assembled PC after supplying power.
- Scoring will be done on basis of timings.
- Team may comprise of maximum 2 students
- Each member of the team must register individually on the online registration portal and pay the fee.
- Upon completing individual registration, approach the event coordinator and submit your team details.

UI Development
Participants will be provided with the problem statement on the spot. They will be required to develop web pages using HTML, CSS or bootstrap according to the problem statement. Participants can download images from internet to make the pages more interactive and meaningful. Best and innovative website design will be declared as winner.
Rules- Team may comprise of maximum two members.
- Time duration for event will be 1 hour and no extension will be provided.
- Teams can use internet connection for downloading images and fonts.
- Each member of the team must register individually on the online registration portal and pay the fee.
- Upon completing individual registration, approach the event coordinator and submit your team details.

Debug the Code
We are organizing Debug the Code during Techlone 2019 for coders who love clean codes. Participants will be provided with set of codes which will have some bugs / errors. Participants will have to debug code and make it executable.
Rules- This is an individual event.
- Students should bring their own laptops.
- Participants must have good command on C and/or C++ and/or JAVA.
- In case of tie, the quick debugger will be declared winner.
- 30 minutes will be given to each participant for completing the assigned tasks.

Important Note
- Decision of the judges will be final. Participating students/teams are strongly advised to refrain from discussing/arguing results with organizers, judges, coordinators etc.
