  • Prof.(Dr) Sudhir Mahajan: graduated and postgraduated in Physics( Honours School) from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He was awarded PhD degree by Panjab University, Chandigarh for his research work in theoretical Solid State Physics. He has wide range teaching, research and administrative experience of serving different state Universities over thirty five years and has developed modern teaching and research facilities at UG and PG levels. Dr Mahajan executed research projects awarded by Department of Science and Technology and Ministry of Environment and Forest, GOI, New Delhi for carrying research in storage of hydrogen in metals and alloys and management of natural resources using GIS and Remote Sensing techniques and has number of publications in national/international journals on the subjects. He has visited International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) Trieste, Italy and Louis Pasteur University, Strasbourg, France for research in Solid State and computational Physics. Dr Mahajan also visited and collaborated with Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Bangkok and International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), Nepal for capacity building programs in management of natural resources using GIS and Remote Sensing techniques. His research interests are energetic studies: non linear screening, configurational energy, size effect, activation energy, electric field gradient etc of interstitional and substitutional impurities in metals and alloys. His research interests also include management of natural resources in particular land, soil, water and forests, networking and instrumentation techniques.

  • Dr. Sushil Kumar:Kumar is Associate Professor of Physics; he has received his M.Sc. degree from I.I.T. Roorkee (formerly University of Roorkee) and Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from Panjab University, Chandigarh. His Ph. D. work was concerned with the alpha and cluster-decay studies of various nuclei, from light mass region to super heavy mass region in the nuclear chart. Dr. Sushil Kumar has visited the University of Messina, Italy where he has chaired one session in International Symposium based on the Quasifission Process in Heavy Ion Reactions and presented his work also. Dr. Sushil Kumar successfully organized an International Conference on Recent Trends in Nuclear Physics-2012 with support of the DST, DAE-BRNS, CSIR, UGC and INSA. He has also published the conference proceeding in AIP, USA as an editor. Presently Dr. Sushil Kumar is an editor of the Physics Journal; Journal of Nuclear Physics, Material Sciences, Radiation and Applications, a refereed and indexed Journal with worldwide reputed Advisory Board and Editorial Board members. The Journal have published three issues and getting good response from the research community. Recently in June 2014, Dr. Sushil has presented his work at JINR, Dubna, Russia, being a member of first official India-JINR Forum. He has guided more than six M. Phil students and was mentor of one Ph.D. student. He is life member of Indian Nuclear Society, India.   • Dr. Ajay Sharma : completed his Ph.D. in Atomic and Radiation Physics in the year 2007 from Nuclear Science Laboratories, Punjabi University, Patiala- India. He has 12 years of teaching and research experience. His research interest include; atomic inner shell studies using synchrotron radiation and its quantum mechanical comparison He is a life member of Indian society for atomic and molecular Physics (ISAMP) and Indian society for radiation Physics (ISRP).   • Dr. Sita Ram Sharma (Associate Professor):Post graduated in Mathematics, Master of Philosophy and Doctorate of Philosophy (Mathematics) from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, is presently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, at Chitkara University, Atal Nagar, Solan. He has total experience of approximately five years in teaching. His areas of interest include Theory of Inequalities/Matrix Analysis .He has two International and Two national publications.

  • Dr Ishwar Dutt : is working in the Department of Physics, Chitkara University Himachal Pradesh since 2011. He has done his Ph.D. from Department of Physics, Panjab University, Chandigarh under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev K. Puri. He has published more than 10 research papers in different International/National Journals having a good impact factor. His area of interest is in theoretical nuclear physics especially on heavy-ion fusion reactions. He has also published a book on his research findings. He has also qualified CSIR-UGC (JRF) conducted by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New-Delhi. Along with this, he has also qualified GATE -2009 conducted by IIT, Roorkee. He is also a lifetime member of Indian Physics Association. Recently, he got a research project under Fast Track Scheme for Young Scientist funded by Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi.   • Dr. Sunil Kumar: has completed his Ph. D in Atomic and Nuclear Physics from Panjab University, Chandigarh and also qualified CSIR-UGC (LS) conducted by CSIR, New Delhi. Has more than eight years research experience in the study of photon-atom and ion-atom interaction processes using photon sources and ion beams from particle accelerators. His research interest includes study of x-ray emission processes and X-ray studies based analytical applications. He has published several research papers in international /national journals and contributions to international/ national conferences. Presently, has American Physics Society membership and also editorial board member of the Physics journal “Journal of Nuclear Physics, Material sciences, Radiation and Application”. Has good experience in preparation of environmental, biological, geological and chemical targets using pellet making machines and Personal Aerosol Monitor (PAM). Good practice in the operation and handling radiation detectors (Scintillators, Si(Li) and HPGe detectors) and setting of associated electronics for the study of photon-atom and ion-atom interaction processes. Excellent in the fabrication of nano-size solid target films using vacuum evaporation techniques and also self supporting foils using mechanical rolling. At present, working as assistant professor in Department of Applied Sciences, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh. During the tenure of research work, he was recipient of DST, IUAC, and UGC (meritorious) fellowships.
