Prof. Varinder Singh Kanwar: With a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and M.E. in Structural Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala, Dr. Varinder S. Kanwar carries more than 20 years of Research; Teaching and Administrative Experience. He is a fellow of Institution of Engineers. He has worked with institutes like NIT Hamirpur, Government Polytechnic, Hamirpur, Thapar University Patiala and Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. He has 12 research papers in National and International Journals and about 25 research papers in conferences to his credit. He has already guided M.E. and Ph.D. student’s thesis work and continues to provide guidance to PhD and ME/M Tech students in the area of Civil Engineering. He is an active member of various societies like ASCE, Indian Concrete Institute [ICI], Institution of Engineers and Punjab Science Congress. His major research areas are Health Monitoring of Structures and Alternate Construction Materials.

Dr. C. Prakasam: Dr. C. Prakasam is a postgraduate (M.Sc) in Geographical Science (School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences) from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. He obtained his M.Tech Degree in Remote Sensing and GIS from Bharathidasan University Collaboration with IIT Roorkee. He was awarded PhD degree by The University of Burdwan, West Bengal for his research work Entitled “Geomorphic Resource Characterisation Using RS-GIS for Evaluation of Land Use Land Cover in Water Stressed Areas�. After obtained his Ph.D. degree he worked as a post doctoral research scholar under DST fellowship in same university (two years) in the field of Fluvial Geomorphology and Geospatial Technological Application. He have more than seven years research experience in the field of Engineering Geomorphology, Satellite Remote Sensing and GIS, Water Resource and Engineering Geosciences, he have more the 24 research and review articles from different International and national repute journals and edited books. He has presented more than 25 research papers in different International, National conference and seminars. He is also being the Editorial board and paper reviver of different International and National repute journals (Environmental Monitoring and Assessment -Springer, American Journal of Remote Sensing, American Journal of Civil Engineering, Review of Environment and Earth Sciences etc.,) and life member of Indian Association of Hydrologists, Indian Institute of Geomorphologists (IGI) etc., Recently he has proposed the two major research projects from DST and UGC New Delhi.
At present he is working as assist professor in civil engineering from April, 2013 to till date, same time he also continue his research work in field of Geographical Information System, Satellite Remote Sensing Applications, Engineering Geomorphology and Geosciences, Water Resource and Climatic Changes.
