Paving the way for fun-filled campus life, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh; organised a Freshers’ Party – Gratus’19, at the campus to welcome its new batch of students, on August 30, 2019.

The party witnessed students getting together for an evening packed with loads of fun and scintillating performances by seniors, to welcome their new companions. The audience was enthralled by mind-blowing performances of dances, songs, fashion show and much more.

Later, fashionable freshers rock the ramp and dazzled the stage as they participated in the competition to earn the coveted title of Mr./Ms. Fresher. The title was keenly contested, and the participants were judged on different parameters of talent, quirkiness, presentability and smartness. The judges for the evening were from Radio Mirchi 98.3 – RJ Manisha and RJ Abhimanyu, along with the famous host Arjun.

Hon’ble Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh; and Dr. Varinder Kanwar, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh; welcomed the new students on behalf of the staff and students, blessed them for a bright future and distributed prizes to the winners. Students – Anshuman Rohilla and Ritika Garg (both, 1st Year, CSE) were declared Mr. Fresher’s 2019 and Ms. Fresher’s 2019, respectively.

The evening concluded on a high note where students danced to their hearts’ content with – Sunburn Campus with Zephyrtone. Everyone was seen enjoying and grooving to electronic pop music of Zephyrtone, with the iconic duo – Sayan and Zephyr.
