It was a day of dreams and delights and rewards for our students as Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, held its second annual Convocation ceremony.

The Convocation commenced with academic procession heading towards the main stage, with the tunes played by an Army Band, adding to the glory of the day.

The Convocation was declared open by Chief Guest of the day, Mr. Manoj Biswas, Managing Director, Human Resources India, Accenture, along with Guest of Honour: Mr. Chetan Bhagat, a Youth Icon and an Eminent Author, Special Guest Mr. Jung Young Min, Director, International Youth Forum, South Korea, Dr Ashok Chitkara, Dr Madhu Chitkara, Dr. Vijay Srivastava and Dr. Varinder Kanwar. The ceremonial lamp was lit and so were several hopes.

Students who received gold medals were Surbhi Mittal of BE (CSE) and Balwant Thakur BE (Civil Engineering).

Degrees awarded to the students were as follows:
BE 2009 CSE students, BE 2009 ECE students, BE 2009 CE students and MCA 2010 and BCA, MCA 2008 students. Total number of students who received the degrees were 543.
