Chitkara University, H.P. organized a two-day IPR workshop on “Understanding the Importance of IPR Issues in Information Technology, Communication and Electronics Segment” on Sep 15-16, 2017.

The workshop was organized with sponsorship from Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India (GOI) and was attended by over 100 participants from different engineering institutions, industry and start-ups. Dr. A.K. Garg – Director, Innovation and IPR Division, MeitY was the Chief Guest of the inauguration. Mr. Kunal Satyarthi, IFS – Joint Member Secretary, SCSTE, H.P. was the Chief Guest of the valedictory. 10 eminent speakers from the IPR world including patent attorneys, industry professionals, and scientists delivered their lectures during the workshop. An online IPR awareness quiz was also conducted on PAMS App developed by CDAC-Pune and top 3 winners were rewarded.

It was a very successfully conducted workshop and met its objective of spreading IPR awareness in both industry and academia.
