Dr Varinder Kanwar received Award for Best Paper for his research paper at TRACE 2018
Civil engineering is witnessing sea change driven by globalization, mounting environmental, safety and security concerns, population demands and by scientific advances in fields such as biotechnology, materials science, nanotechnology, etc. In an attempt to counter these changes and add a new definition of output, Dr Varinder Kanwar, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, had attempted a paper for which he received an Award for Best Paper for his research paper titled “Feasibility of using industrial sludge containing calcium carbonate in manufacturing bricks”, in the 2nd International Conference on ‘Trends and Recent Advances in Civil Engineering – TRACE 2018’ at Amity University, Noida.
His paper stated that the changes technology is witnessing demands acquisition of more knowledge than in the past. The International Conference “Trends and Recent Advances in Civil Engineering” aimed at bringing together the international leading academicians, researchers and engineers, both theoreticians and experimentalists, and aided presentation of their original research work of very high quality in different areas of civil engineering. Both oral and poster presentations were included in the conference program.
We congratulate Dr Kanwar for this feat and are proud of having him onboard Chitkara’s faculty.
