It was her dream ever since she was a little girl. Her grit and determination made her win the coveted title of The Indian Princess Beauty Pageant. Chandni Sharma now looks forward to participating in Miss Inter-Continental 2014 to be held at Berlin in Germany. She will compete with 70 other participants from various countries in Germany, being the only one from India.

Chandni aims at working towards educating the girl child as she believes that for a better tomorrow, we need to educate the girl child. As a small contribution, she has donated Rs one lakh and two laptops for encouraging girls in her state, Himachal Pradesh, to get educated. She says that this is just the beginning.

Born in Gohar village, district Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Chandni went to DAV Chandigarh for her schooling and graduated from Chitkara University.

She has already created waves in the fashion industry at national, as well as, the international level with her achievement. While talking about the pageant she said, “Since childhood I was interested in fashion and modeling. I have been following this show for a long time on Zee TV. I tried my luck and I got selected for the pageant and with god’s grace even won the title.”

Chandni while further talking about the pageant talked about the question asked to her during the grand finale. “In the grand finale I was asked if given an opportunity to meet God for one day, what I will ask from him. I replied that abolish poverty from the world. I seriously believe that the gap between haves and have not it too wide. But this gap is a little lesser in Himachal”, recalls Chandni.

Chandni now also aims at carving a niche for herself on the silver screen and groom herself for the same.

Chitkara University, her alma mater, wishes its princess good luck for the same.
