Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, witnessed a remarkable confluence of ideas and inspiration at the inaugural Emerge Fest ’24, organised by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education & Development (CEED). Over three days, the event provided a platform for accomplished individuals from diverse fields to share their knowledge, journey, and experiences with students, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Meenu Khurana, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh. Saurabh Dwivedi, Founding Editor of The Lallantop, set the tone with a thought-provoking exploration of ‘Startup India 2.0: Expectations for Future India,’ offering insights into the country’s entrepreneurial landscape. A panel discussion on ‘Challenges and Expectations from Startup India 2.0,’ moderated by Ritika Singh, CEO of Kontent Factory, featured key figures from the industry, discussing the evolving startup ecosystem and the road ahead.

The festivities continued over the following days, with esteemed industry leaders sharing invaluable insights. Amit Pandey, CEO of PinCap, delivered a keynote address on ‘Empowering Entrepreneurs: Start-up vs. Jobs,’ while Sandeep Jain, CEO of GeeksforGeeks, shared insights on ‘Nurturing Entrepreneurial Spirit in the Tech World.’ Ankush Sabharwal, CEO of CoRover.ai, led a session on ‘Navigating the Future: AI, Entrepreneurship, and Your Role in Shaping Tomorrow’s World.’ Additionally, Piyush Jha, Researcher & Founder of Jha Instruments, explored the topic ‘Why Should I Be an Entrepreneur?’

The event also featured a 24-hour ‘Maker’s Buildathon,’ where students collaborated to craft solutions to real-world challenges, mentored by industry experts. Notably, idea stage startups ‘Chidiya Ud’ and ‘AushadiMate’ received seed funding support from the esteemed Investment Consortium, Arthayan, highlighting the transformative power of ideas.
The grand finale saw stand-up comedian Vinay Bhatia add a delightful touch of humour to the intellectual discussions, marking the successful conclusion of Emerge Fest ’24.
