Shivya Pathania from Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) batch 2013, Chitkara University, who has been featuring as the main female lead in serial “Ek Rishta Sanjhedari Ka (Sony, 8.30 pm to 9 pm, Monday to Friday) has been bestowed with the “Best Rising Actress” award in a glittering ceremony at Mumbai.

Shivya has quite a lot in her kitty. She was crowned as ‘Miss Shimla 2013’, the shining tiara and the sash gave her dreams and an urge to soar high in the glam world.

She has hogged the limelight for long as she was also selected among Miss India Universe Semifinalists. While talking about her alma mater, Shivya had earlier stated that the faculty at Chitkara University always extended unending support and encouraged her to do well in every endeavor of hers. Her co-students and friends from the University were always by her side.

Shivya’s first step were the three titles that she won the 2013 contest and she never looked back as she was also offered an opportunity to become a Radio Jockey with a leading radio channel.
Shivya’s heart, however, was inclined towards acting and she decided to take a leap. She has done exceedingly well until now and we have full faith in her talent and aptitude for the glamour world.
