On 16th December 2009, STACCATOS CLUB organized its first event “FINESTA 09” at CHITKARA UNIVERSITY. First of all on behalf of our 112 club members, I, Smriti Solanki, President of the club is grateful to our authorities for allowing us to organize this event. We assure to conduct this event every year.

“FINESTA-09” had four events: ARTIFACTZ, WEAR UR COLOR, KOLORZ and CLUEDO.

The details are as follows:-

ARTIFACTZ:-

The event had four categories of ART: Gothic art, Portrait, Sketching and Fun art. The participants had to choose one category of their choice.
There was participation from around 20 students.
Mohit Bansal under sketching won the title of “Best ARTOON”.

WEAR UR COLOR:-

This event was all about designing a T-shirt. T-shirts were provided by the club and students were given an opportunity to design them .We got a good response from the students and around 15 Students participated.
Nitin Mohan won the first prize.

KOLORZ:-

Kolorz included Rangoli. Around 6 teams participated. Each team comprised of four participants.
Abhay and Arushi won the first prize.

CLUE-DO:-

This event was the main attraction of “FINESTA –O9”. As the name suggests ,different clues were provided to the teams to reach up to their final destination that was a “TREASURE BOX”.A large number of students, in teams comprising of four members each ,participated and finally we had our winning team

GLADIATORS:-

Sanvi Kaltaik, Prabhsharan, Paramjeet, Harjot Singh
Overall, the event was successful. We got a wonderful response from the students. Since CU STACCATOS focuses at the aspects of creativity, we are looking forward to organize more such events that will help the students to come up with new ideas and thus helping them to be more creative and innovative.

As Chitkara University is home for the students from different parts of the country,this club strives to bring their cultures and traditions on a single platform. Its main objective is to preserve ,innovate, promote the projection of flavours of india. To keep alive the sparkling and vivacious folk dances of india . Along with entertaining our audiences we also aim at teaching our fellows friends folks of punjab ,himachal …etc

To encourage upcoming artists.
