Dr. Meenu Khurana, Pro-Vice Chancellor of School of Engineering and Technology is efficaciously contributing to developing and automating the academic processes in the University. With PhD in Engineering & Technology and over 28 years of experience, she expertly manages curriculum design, educational pedagogy, and industry-institute interaction, fostering collaborations with organizations and international academic institutes of repute.
Her leadership has been instrumental in industry-academia collaborations at the University by setting up Centre of Excellences and offering seven specialization areas to undergraduate students. She has played the key role in automating and implementing effective scalable technology solutions in teaching, learning and assessments in the University and also in promoting stimulating teaching learning environment among faculty and students.
Dr. Khurana’s expertise encompasses curriculum design and development, innovative teaching methodologies, and cutting-edge research in areas such as Vehicular Adhoc Networks, Machine Learning, Wireless Sensor Networks, and Fog Computing. She has a strong record of mentoring, having guided PhD and ME scholars to completion in past and currently mentoring six PhD candidates. Her scholarly contributions are substantial, including over 70 research articles, book chapters, a book, and 12 granted patents.
Dr. Khurana has received numerous awards and accolades for her impactful contributions in fostering industry-academia partnerships. She has delivered keynote sessions at prestigious international conferences, shaping discussions and inspiring others. Her influence extends to mentoring students at prestigious hackathons, nurturing the next generation of innovators. Her global engagement through visits to leading universities provides her with a broad perspective.
Dr. Khurana is a member of prestigious technical societies IEEE, ACM, and ISTE. As a Senior Member of IEEE and an executive member of the Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology (SIGHT), she actively promotes humanitarian technologies. Dr. Khurana’s contributions have earned her recognition from the IEEE on multiple occasions.
Within the university, she is an active member of various bodies, dedicating herself to advancing academic excellence and fostering holistic student development through research and innovation.
